Dr. James Edwards graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1977 and practiced in Kansas for 24 years. Currently, he serves as the Texas representative assemblyman to the International Chiropractors Association (ICA). Dr. Edwards was appointed to the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts by two different governors, serving for eight years; served on the Kansas Chiropractic Association board of directors for 15 years; and served as the state association's PAC treasurer for 23 years. He served seven years as American Chiropractic Association (ACA) district VI governor, representing nine states; two years as ACA chairman and American Chiropractic Foundation president; and two years as ACA treasurer. He also served as ACA State Delegate representing both Kansas and Texas. In addition, Dr. Edwards served as chairman and treasurer of the ACA-PAC; chairman of the National Chiropractic Legal Action Fund, state delegate to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners; and delegate to the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards. In recognition of his service, he has been honored with more than 50 awards, including Kansas "Doctor of the Year" in 1991; Dynamic Chiropractic's "DC of the Year" in 2000; and "ACA Chiropractor of the Year" in 2004. He practices in Austin, Texas, at the Austin Chiropractic Center.
